The most traditional but also most fragile Praguean
souvenir is the Bohemian crystal. This is not only
an elegant souvenir but it also represents the pride
of an entire nation. Crafted under the standards of
a tradition that goes back over seven centuries, the
Bohemian crystal can be purchased in historic shops
as well as in large department stores. Those who appreciate
precious objects should not miss the purchase of a
garnet. The clocks collectors will be delighted to
find pieces from all types and ages. Antique books
and printings can be found in numerous stores in the
downtown area and at the street shops of the Karlova.
The Jewish quarter features mostly antique objects.
Another attracting souvenir for people of all ages
is a wooden marionette which can be purchased in one
of the many traditional Prague marionette stores that
offer antique as well as modern designs. Those who
enjoy visiting food markets could profit from the
Havelska Namesta -the daily market where flowers,
fruits and vegetables could be purchased or from Prazska
Trznice -a flea market that takes place in Holesovice
on the weekends.

Even if you are not thinking about buying Bohemian
Crystal we recommend that you visit the Moser
store (Na Pnkope 12) that has sold
glassware for over a century. Among the other
stores we would like to mention Erpet
(Staromestske Namesti 27), which caries
a large selection and Karlovarsky Porcelain
(Panzka 2) that features the crystal
of Karlovy Vary .

namesti), that sells antique marionettes, e
Krasna disperanda (Pohorelehc
